What the module does

  • A “Consignor (consignment)” field on each product: the third party who owns it. Left empty, the product is a regular one and the module ignores it.
  • Commission rate: the product's if set, otherwise the consignor's, otherwise the module's default rate. The commission is computed on sales excluding or including tax, as you choose.
  • Sales are read from validated customer invoices, TakePOS receipts included. Credit notes and negative lines are deducted; draft invoices, replaced invoices and down payments are ignored.
  • ProductsConsignment sales, “Sales to settle” tab: per consignor, the number of lines, quantity sold, sales excluding and including tax, the commission and the amount due to the consignor, up to the chosen date, with a total.
  • “Create the statement” takes all of the consignor's sales not yet settled up to that date, including an older invoice validated late. The statement gets a DVyymm-NNNN reference.
  • “Two invoices” mode, the default: the consignor's supplier invoice, one line per product, and your commission invoice addressed to the consignor. “One invoice” mode: the supplier invoice for the sales minus the commission. Everything is created as a draft.
  • Each invoice line sold is settled only once: a unique key in the database prevents it, even when two statements are created at the same time.
  • Statement card: consignor, period, mode, links to the invoices with their status, detail of each sale (date, invoice, product, quantity, amounts, rate, commission) and amount due to the consignor. Print view.
  • A statement can be deleted while its invoices are drafts: they are deleted with it and its sales become to settle again. If an invoice is validated, deletion is refused.
  • “Consignment” tab on the consignor's card: their products with selling price, stock and rate, their sales to settle as of today and their statements.
  • If your company's country is not set, the page says so: without it, Dolibarr suggests no VAT on statement invoices.
02

Who it is for

In a farm shop or a makers' shop, consigned products belong to their consignors. Dolibarr sells them easily, but does not tell you what was sold for each of them: the statement, the commission and the invoices are done in a spreadsheet.

Farm shop, makers’ shop, local store: consigned products belong to their consignors. At the end of the month you need to know what was sold for each of them, compute your commission and issue the invoices.

Dolibarr sells these products easily, by invoice or at the TakePOS till, but does not produce this statement. It is done in a spreadsheet, or by script.

Who it is for: Farm shops, makers' shops, local stores and community shops that sell consigned products and pay the sales back to their consignors.

03

What the module does not do

This section appears on all 21 module pages, without exception.

  • No separate stock for the consignor's products: stock remains Dolibarr's, and goods coming in or going back use the usual stock movements.
  • No automatic payment of the consignor: statement invoices are paid like any invoice.
  • No margin scheme for second-hand goods.
  • The module validates no invoice. Their VAT is the one Dolibarr suggests; the VAT treatment of your consignment business is to be checked with your accountant.
  • The commission invoice has a single line, at the VAT rate Dolibarr suggests by default for your company.
  • One consignor per product.
  • PDFs and data import have not been tested. Tests were run with MariaDB and PHP 8.2; PostgreSQL has not been tested.
  • On Dolibarr 21, the CSV export of products and third parties shows the key DolDvFieldCommission as a column header instead of the label: the version 21 core does not translate these headers. This is fixed in the core from version 22.
  • The “Statements” tab shows the 500 most recent statements.
04

How it works

Consignor and commission

The consignor is a vendor third party. The module adds:

  • on each product, a “Consignor (consignment)” field: the third party who owns it. Left empty, the product is a regular one and the module ignores it;
  • on the product and on the third party, a “Consignment commission (%)” field.

The rate applied is the product’s if set, otherwise the consignor’s, otherwise the module’s default rate. The commission is computed on sales excluding or including tax, as you choose.

Sales to settle

Sales are read from your validated customer invoices, TakePOS receipts included.

  • Credit notes and negative lines are deducted, in quantity, amount and commission.
  • Draft invoices, replaced invoices and down payments are ignored.

ProductsConsignment sales, “Sales to settle” tab: for each consignor, the number of lines, quantity sold, sales excluding and including tax, the commission and the amount due to the consignor (excl. tax), up to the chosen date, with a total.

The statement

The “Create the statement” button takes all of the consignor’s sales not yet settled up to that date, including an older invoice validated late. The statement gets a DVyymm-NNNN reference and creates, as drafts:

  • in “two invoices” mode (the default): the consignor’s supplier invoice, one line per product, and your commission invoice addressed to the consignor;
  • in “one invoice” mode: the consignor’s supplier invoice for their sales minus the commission.

Nothing is validated automatically: you check the invoices, then validate them.

The statement card details each sale — date, invoice, product, quantity, amounts, rate, commission — and gives the amount due to the consignor. It can be printed. While its invoices are drafts, the statement can be deleted: its invoices are deleted with it and its sales become to settle again.

On the consignor’s card, the “Consignment” tab shows their products (selling price, stock, rate), their sales to settle as of today and their statements.

A sale is settled only once

Each invoice line sold is recorded with the statement that settles it. A unique key in the database forbids recording it a second time, even when two statements are created at the same time. An older invoice validated after a statement is not lost: the next statement picks it up.

VAT

Invoices are created with the VAT Dolibarr suggests: product rate, consignor subject to VAT or not. A consignor not subject to VAT gets a supplier invoice without VAT. The commission invoice has a single line, at the rate Dolibarr suggests by default for your company.

The VAT treatment of consignment (agency, commission, second-hand goods) depends on your business and your contract: check with your accountant before validating the invoices.

Your company’s country must be set: without it, Dolibarr suggests no VAT, and the module’s page says so.

Settings

The module’s setup page is reserved for administrators. It recalls the four set-up steps and how VAT is handled.

Setting Default Effect
Default commission rate 0% Used when neither the product nor the consignor has its own rate. Kept between 0 and 100.
Commission computed on sales excl. tax Or sales incl. tax.
Documents created by the statement two invoices Or one supplier invoice net of the commission.
06

Security and safeguards

  • Two dedicated permissions, not granted by default: “See consignment sales” opens the menu, the tab and the statements; “Create and delete consignment statements” shows the buttons.
  • Dolibarr permissions on top: creating a statement also requires the permission to create supplier invoices and, in “two invoices” mode, to create customer invoices. A request sent without these permissions is refused by the server.
  • The consignor’s tab only opens on a third party the user has access to.
  • Sales representatives limited to their consignors: without Dolibarr’s permission to see all third parties, a user only sees, creates and deletes the statements of the consignors they are the assigned sales representative of, as in Dolibarr’s lists; a forged request is refused.
  • Transactions: a statement is created in a single transaction; if a step fails, nothing is recorded.
  • Controlled deletion: confirmation is asked, and deletion is refused if an invoice of the statement is already validated.
  • Forms carry Dolibarr’s anti-CSRF token; the setup page enforces it.

What you get

What the module writes to your installation
Database tables createdTwo tables: llx_dolixdv_releve, one row per statement (reference, consignor, period, mode, totals, commission, invoices created, author, date), and llx_dolixdv_line, one row per settled sale, with a unique key on the invoice line so that a sale is never settled twice. Three extra fields: “Consignor (consignment)” and “Consignment commission (%)” on products, “Consignment commission (%)” on third parties. Three settings stored as Dolibarr constants: DOLIXDV_DEFAULT_COMMISSION, DOLIXDV_COMMISSION_BASE and DOLIXDV_MODE.
PermissionsTwo permissions: “See consignment sales” opens the menu, the tab and the statements; “Create and delete consignment statements” shows the buttons. To create a statement, the user also needs the Dolibarr permission to create supplier invoices and, in “two invoices” mode, to create customer invoices. The consignor's tab only opens on a third party the user has access to. A sales representative without the permission to see all third parties only sees and settles the consignors they are the assigned sales representative of. The setup page is reserved for administrators.
Uninstalling
  • Disable the module in SetupModules/Applications. The menu and the tab disappear.
  • Invoices created by statements are ordinary Dolibarr invoices: they remain, whatever their status.
  • The llx_dolixdv_releve and llx_dolixdv_line tables, the three extra fields with their values and the module's settings are not deleted.

The dolixdepotvente folder, in readable PHP, under the GPL v3 or later licence: the module descriptor, the sales-to-settle and statements page, the statement card, the consignor’s tab, the setup page, the calculation class, the SQL files of the two tables and the icons.

  • Languages: French (fr_FR), English (en_US) and German (de_DE).
  • A README.md (in French) describing how it works, VAT, settings and limits.
  • A ChangeLog.md.
  • Two tables are added: llx_dolixdv_releve, one row per statement (reference, consignor, period, mode, totals, commission, invoices created, author, date), and llx_dolixdv_line, one row per settled sale, with a unique key on the invoice line.
  • Three extra fields: “Consignor (consignment)” and “Consignment commission (%)” on products, “Consignment commission (%)” on third parties.
  • What a statement writes: one row in llx_dolixdv_releve, one row per settled sale in llx_dolixdv_line, and the draft invoices, created by the core classes. The customer invoices sold are not modified.
  • Three settings, stored as Dolibarr constants: DOLIXDV_DEFAULT_COMMISSION, DOLIXDV_COMMISSION_BASE and DOLIXDV_MODE.
  • No Dolibarr file is modified. No outgoing connection.
  • When disabled, the menu and the tab disappear. Invoices created remain: they are ordinary Dolibarr invoices. The two tables, the fields with their values and the settings are not deleted.

Installation

  1. Get the module from the DoliStore and download the zip file.
  2. In Dolibarr: HomeSetupModules/Applications“Deploy/install external app/module” tab, then upload the zip. Otherwise, unzip the dolixdepotvente folder into htdocs/custom/.
  3. Enable “Consignment sales” in the list of modules. It requires the Third Parties, Products, Invoices and Vendors modules. The two tables and the three extra fields are created at that point.
  4. Grant the “See consignment sales” and “Create and delete consignment statements” permissions. To create a statement, users also need the Dolibarr permissions to create supplier invoices and, in “two invoices” mode, customer invoices.
  5. In the module's setup page: default commission rate, commission computed on sales excluding or including tax, documents created by the statement.
  6. Create each consignor as a vendor third party and enter their commission rate on their card, then choose the consignor on each consigned product.

The details — permissions on the custom folder, shared hosting, upgrades, uninstalling — are on the page Installation and upgrades.

Frequently asked questions

Which Dolibarr versions does this module work on?

The descriptor requires Dolibarr 19.0 minimum and PHP 7.4 minimum. Version 1.0.2 has been installed from its zip and its integration test (32 checks) passes on 19.0.4, 20.0.4, 21.0.4, 22.0.5, 23.0.4, 24.0.1 and 24.0.2, with MariaDB; version 1.0.1 had also been tested as an update from 1.0.0. If you have any doubt, write before buying.

Does the module validate invoices for me?

No. The statement creates its invoices as drafts: you check them, edit them if needed, then validate them yourself. While they are drafts, you can delete the statement; its sales then become to settle again.

How is VAT handled?

Invoices are created with the VAT Dolibarr suggests: product rate, consignor subject to VAT or not. A consignor not subject to VAT gets a supplier invoice without VAT. The VAT treatment of consignment (agency, commission, second-hand goods) depends on your business and your contract: check with your accountant before validating the invoices. Your company's country must be set; otherwise the page says so.

Can a sale be settled twice?

No. Each invoice line sold is recorded with the statement that settles it, and a unique key in the database forbids recording it a second time. An older invoice validated after a statement is not lost: the next statement picks it up.

How are returns handled?

A credit note on a consigned product is deducted from the consignor's sales, in quantity, amount and commission. A negative line on an invoice is handled the same way.

I have 1.0.0: what does the update change?

1.0.1 fixes a display issue on Dolibarr 19 (see the version history). Replacing the module's files is enough, without re-enabling it: the consignor of each product and the commission rates already entered are kept. This was checked on 19.0.4, 20.0.4, 21.0.4, 22.0.5, 23.0.4 and 24.0.2.

What if I uninstall?

The menu and the tab disappear. Invoices created by statements remain: they are ordinary Dolibarr invoices. The statement tables, the extra fields with their values and the settings also remain.

Who handles support, and how do updates work?

Support is provided by the person who wrote the module, at support@dolix.fr. Ordering, payment, the invoice and the download are handled by the DoliStore, where new versions are published.

Version history

Taken from the module’s ChangeLog.md file: a single source.

1.0.225 October 2026

Dolibarr permissions respected: “Sales to settle”, the list and the card of statements now only concern the consignors the user can see in Dolibarr (sales representative without the permission to see all third parties: the third parties they are the assigned sales representative of; external user: their company); a statement can no longer be created, opened or deleted for another consignor, even through a forged request. The consignor's tab already applied this check. Tested on 19.0.4 to 24.0.2.

1.0.125 October 2026

Dolibarr 19 fix: once the module was enabled, product and third-party cards and lists stopped part-way through display, because the “Consignment commission (%)” label contains a “%” that Dolibarr reads as a format code. It is now escaped in all three languages. Fields already created by 1.0.0 are fixed by simply updating the files, with no data change. Tested on 19.0.4, 20.0.4, 21.0.4, 22.0.5, 23.0.4 and 24.0.2.

1.0.012 October 2026

First version: “Consignor” field and commission rate on products, commission rate on third parties. Sales to settle per consignor taken from validated customer invoices and the POS, credit notes deducted, replaced invoices and down payments ignored. Statement of all unsettled sales up to a date, each sale settled only once, draft invoices (consignor's supplier invoice and commission invoice, or net supplier invoice). Statement card, printing, deletion while invoices are drafts, tab on the consignor's card. Interface in French, English and German.
