Diagnose a Dolibarr error

Paste an error message from Dolibarr, PHP or the mail server: the tool recognises 39 messages, taken from the Dolibarr 16 to 24 code or quoted by our guides, gives the most likely cause and links to the fix.

What was checked (versions, tests, code read)

Each message in the list was taken from the Dolibarr code (language files and PHP code of versions 16.0.5 to 24.0.2) or from the guide that covers it, then checked again on 03/11/2026. The tool was tried on each of these messages.

Dolibarr error 500 or blank page: find the cause in a few minutes

  • /custom/ … Fatal error:The error happens in the code of an external module (custom/ folder): most often, a module incompatible with your Dolibarr or PHP version; update it or disable it.
  • Allowed memory size ofPHP memory limit exceeded (memory_limit), mostly when generating a large PDF, an export or a long list.
  • Call to undefined functionUndefined function: if it is a module function, that module is incompatible with your version; if it is a PHP function (images, internationalisation…), a PHP extension is missing, often after the host changed the PHP version.
  • Call to undefined methodAn external module incompatible with your version (even if no /custom/ path shows in the pasted message).

“Token not provided” after two-factor authentication: which token is it

  • Token not providedThe page's anti-CSRF token is missing (not the two-factor code): the request did not come from the page that would have signed it (pasted link, bookmark, automated call, page left open for a long time, third-party module).

Dolibarr not sending emails: SMTP setup and what each error message means

A Dolibarr error message almost always says what is wrong, but rarely in words you understand at first sight. Paste it into the tool: it compares it with the messages our guides have already covered and sends you straight to the right section.

What the tool recognises

  • Dolibarr messages, in several languages. The translated ones were taken from the Dolibarr language files (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian): paste them as your screen shows them.
  • PHP errors, for example memory exhausted or an undefined function. If the file path goes through the custom/ folder, the tool names the external module at fault: it is the most common cause of a 500 error.
  • Mail server (SMTP) replies, which almost always say which setting to fix: port, encryption, password.

The pasted text does not leave your browser.

What it does not do

  • It does not guess: a message missing from the list gets no made-up answer.
  • It does not handle messages that are too general, such as “Access denied”, which have dozens of causes.
  • A blank page has no message to paste: the guide Dolibarr error 500 or blank page explains where to read the real message, in the server log.

If nothing matches

The €90 diagnostic starts from your message and your instance to find the cause, and its price is deducted from a service if you order one afterwards.
